Our Story

The Fourth Quarter is an Israeli grassroots movement with hundreds of thousands of members from diverse political and social backgrounds.

The movement was established 2 years ago to ensure the prosperity of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, fostering unity amongst all of its citizens.

The movement plans to play a pivotal role in changing the political culture in Israel - from a zero-sum political system, to a political system based on collective responsibility.

Our Vision for Israel

Israel will be a model state, Jewish and democratic, liberal and traditional, that guarantees security for all its citizens.

A state that thrives exceptionally - financially, socially and culturally. It will be a source of pride, providing a sense of belonging to all of its citizens and to the Jewish people as a whole.

The Challenge Israel is Facing

Israel is in the midst of a crisis. The trust between the citizens and their state institutions has collapsed, as has the trust between different demographic groups.

This has caused growing animosity, polarization and an inability to tackle the challenges facing Israeli society. This crisis brought the country to the brink of civil war during the last year - and encouraged our enemies to launch the horrific attack on the 7th of October.

That’s why we have committed ourselves over the last two years to growing a mass movement of diverse citizens, who are dedicated to fighting polarization and promoting national unity.

Why the Fourth Quarter

Israel has now entered its fourth quarter since its founding - years 75-100. This is a dangerous time in the life of nations - twice before in history, the Jewish state crumbled before it reached its 100th year.

David Ben Gurion, who had a rich understanding of history, said this at the state’s founding: "The test of Zionism will be when Israel turns 75. By then, the children born will no longer meet Holocaust survivors, nor will they know the founding generation. Our belief in the righteousness of our cause will require a renewed definition, not based on what was, but rather on what will be."

That is our generation's mission: to ensure the prosperity of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, making sure that it reaches it’s 100th year, whilst looking ahead to the next century.
